The Development Centre is an AQA accredited training unit which is open from 8:30am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday. The age range of clients runs from 16 – 80 years.
Courses for those with Learning Difficulties, Physical Disabilites, Autism and/or Mental Health issues are not only designed to teach new skills but most importantly to improve socialisation, communication, tolerance, behaviour, integration and motor skills.
Courses and projects for SEND students with severe learning difficulties or severe autism are designed to bridge the transition from school into the wider community.
The centre also provides short courses for those who need some ‘me time’ or would just like to get out and do something different for a couple of hours. These are constantly changing to reflect demand. Check out the news section or our facebook for upcoming dates.
